It is always sad when a beloved Florida restaurant must close down for reasons beyond its control. It’s even more sad when a chain with multiple locations must close. Miami’s beloved Mojo Donuts is closing due to financial reasons explained by the owner.
About Mojo Donuts: I could find no official website for this eatery, but their Instagram page makes it clear that they serve donuts of many varieties, from sweet to savory. The chain has appeared on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
Miami New Times calls the chain “beloved” and reviews indicate that this is true for some Floridians. A reviewer named Andrea wrote, in part:
“Each donut creation is a unique delightful experience! The funny names they pick, the beautifully detailed decoration, and the donut itself are super fresh, fluffy, and crunchy…The icing they use is perfect, not too sweet so customers can enjoy multiple donuts without having a sugar coma! I love every single one I tried…The price for a box of 6 gourmet donuts (as they are called) was great! Especially for the amount of time and dedication each donut takes. Definitely, it’s worth the visit to this beautiful sugar experience!”
