Dangerous weather hits cruise ship heading to Miami, leaving destruction inside

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Royal Caribbean cruise ship experienced bad weather near Spain that caused damage to the ship.

Explorer of the Seas was on a 12-day journey from Barcelona, Spain to Miami, Florida— a one-way trip, according to Cruise Mapper.

“During an unexpected wind gust near Tenerife, Spain, one of our sailings experienced sudden movement. One guest was injured and required additional medical care, resulting in the ship calling into Las Palmas, Spain for a medical disembarkation. We communicated these changes directly with our guests,” a Royal Caribbean spokesperson said.
