Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder’s “Ebony And Ivory”, the worst duet of all time, was banned in South Africa in 1985. They sang, “There is good and bad in everyone.” Here’s hoping that CRT, DEI, affirmative action, MeToo, LGBTQ, Latinx, and Pro-choice advocates will survive in 2025. Now that that is off my chest, here are our best and worst, also set to music.
The Best:
“The Creator Has a Master Plan”: Miami in winter is a gift from God.
“This Must Be The Place”: Coconut Grove and Coral Gables should inspire South Miami.
“Life’s One Act Play”: The Arsht, the Moss Center, Miami Light Project, and GableStage provide.
“Your Body is a Wonderland”: Lifetime at the Falls is so well run; I nominate Steve Datte for President and Derek Gelber as most likely to save us as the waters rise.
