A Florida mom has been accused of getting her teenage son to help her rob a man she was sleeping with.
Linda Maria Palacio, 39, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony burglary and grand theft. She also faces misdemeanor charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor and resisting arrest. According to an arrest warrant obtained by WPLG, a local ABC affiliate, Palacio allegedly employed her teenage son to assist her as she broke into her lover’s apartment to steal a jar containing $1,300 in cash and a $200 carton of cigarettes.
According to Miami police, the alleged burglary took place on Nov. 13 in the city’s Little Havana neighborhood. Palacio, along with her son, who was reportedly between the ages of 13 and 15, allegedly forced the door of the apartment open. The warrant stated that the teenage accomplice, whose face was covered by a towel, was caught on a Ring camera allegedly forcing the door open and allowing his mother inside.
Palacio, who was also masked, also allegedly covered up the camera, but not before it caught her showing her son where the jar of cash was.
