Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce went at Miami Heat president Pat Riley once again during the latest episode of the “Ticket and the Truth” podcast.
“The Truth” recently criticized how “The Godfather” handled the Jimmy Butler situation in South Beach. Now, Pierce claims that Riley has a mentality that once he gets his star players to deliver what he expects of them, he treats them like trash and drops them like a hot potato.
“I’ve seen this with your other superstars. Like how D-Wade don’t retire a Heat? Like, he do retire a Heat, and he got a statue and all, but how did he get to Chicago and have to come back like that? That should have never happened. That was all Riley, though,” said Paul.
