Trip to gas station turns into $5 million lottery win in South Florida

DORAL, Fla. (CBS12) — A trip to the gas station turned into a $5 million lottery win for a South Florida woman.

The Florida Lottery announced on Friday that Hialeah resident Nubia Fagot claimed a $5 million top prize from the $5,000,000 Crossword Cash Scratch-Off game.

Lottery officials said Fagot bought her winning ticket from Beacon Service Station at 8399 NW 12th Street in Doral. With a 1-in-2.90 chance of winning a prize, the 62-year-old woman scratched off the top prize…
