Red Flag Warning issued for parts of South Florida

On Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service in Miami (NWSM) upgraded the previously issued Fire Weather Watch to a Red Flag Warning for parts of South Florida due to a combination of dry conditions, low humidity, and gusty winds that significantly increase the risk of wildfires.

In an X post, the NWSM said Fire Weather Watch also remains in effect for all of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties “where wind speeds & RH are looking less likely to reach Red Flag conditions.”
