A man has died following a shooting that disrupted the early morning tranquility of Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. According to Local 10 News, Miami police were dispatched to Southwest First Avenue and Eighth Street around 12:45 a.m. today, where they discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds.
The incident, described by eyewitnesses as a sudden burst of gunfire, caused the police to rapidly close down nearby streets and launch an investigation into the fatal event. As reported by NBC Miami, a witness recounted the shock of the moment, saying, “We were sitting like having fun and eating here, and suddenly… we heard like so many shots. Like seven, or eight or nine. Like in less than one minute, so many cops came and everything, and we saw that they started closing streets.” The name of the deceased man has not been immediately made public.
