A luxury Miami hotel is facing a lawsuit over invasion of privacy violations. A civil lawsuit was filed last week in Miami-Dade County on behalf of a female guest who claims to have suffered a traumatic incident while staying at the St. Regis Bal Harbour, a luxury hotel operated by Marriott International.
According to the woman, a man dressed in a hotel uniform broke into her locked room and stared at her while she showered. The woman claims that the hotel delayed the police investigation, resulting in the destruction of critical forensic evidence.
“The plaintiff, referred to in court documents as C.N., alleges that while showering in her locked hotel room at the St. Regis Bal Harbour, a uniformed male employee entered the room, opened the shower door, and stared at her while she was naked. He remained in the room despite her repeated demands that he leave, only exiting after brushing against her unclothed body.”…
