Miami Man Cited For Illegal Barracuda, Fishing From Closed Florida Keys Bridge

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A Miami man faces legal repercussions after being cited for possessing an undersized barracuda and fishing from a closed bridge in the Lower Keys on Sunday.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Marine Deputy Jacob Ladd was on routine patrol near Mile Marker 38 at approximately 12:13 p.m. when he observed Gabriel Pina, 43, fishing from a bridge that is designated as closed to the public.

Upon inspection, Deputy Ladd discovered Pina had two barracudas that did not meet the legal size requirements…
