A Florida man is behind bars after he allegedly pushed a woman into the Miami River during an argument, causing her death days later.
William Youmans Jr., 47, currently is facing an attempted second-degree murder charge, but that is expected to be upgraded following the victim’s death. According to a probable cause arrest affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, witnesses told Miami police Youmans and the victim were arguing on Tuesday morning near the SW 1st Street Bridge not far from Jose Marti Park.
One witness who was across the river said he saw Youmans and the victim throwing things at one another. At one point, the victim sat down along the seawall. That’s when Youmans allegedly walked up to the victim and pushed her into the water below. The witness called 911 and kept his eye on Youmans until police arrived.
