Florida Man Arrested After Allegedly Pushing Woman Into Miami River, Leading to Her Death

A 47-year-old man from Florida, William Youmans Jr., is in police custody after he allegedly pushed a woman into the Miami River during a heated argument, which led to her death a few days later.

Youmans is facing an attempted second-degree murder charge, and authorities are considering upgrading the charge after the victim passed away.

The Incident and Arrest

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning near the SW 1st Street Bridge close to Jose Marti Park in Miami. Youmans and the victim, later identified as 39-year-old Marie Roseme, were arguing intensely when the situation escalated.

A witness who saw the altercation from across the river reported that the two were throwing objects at each other. At one point, Roseme sat down near the seawall, and that’s when Youmans allegedly approached her and pushed her into the river…
