BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — The 19-year-old suspect charged in the fatal shooting of Fort Pierce teen was granted a temporary release from jail to attend his father’s funeral in Miami.
According to a court order filed August 7, a Broward County judge approved Larry Smith’s motion for a temporary release, allowing him to leave the Broward County Jail on Saturday at 9 a.m. to attend his father’s funeral service. His request to attend the wake on Friday was denied.
