In the heart of Miami, where Overtown’s rich cultural legacy meets the pulse of a growing city, a new chapter is taking shape. It’s one that aims to bridge the divide carved decades ago by Interstate 95. After decades of disinvestment on the west side of the highway, developers and community leaders are building momentum on both sides. Just weeks after unveiling a major redevelopment at Culmer Place on the west, attention now turns eastward to Atlantic Square—a mixed-use housing and transit hub designed to serve the next generation of Overtown residents.
