An Uber driver was arrested Wednesday after being accused of stealing a vehicle in Miami-Dade, troopers said.
Jose Antonio Friol, 44, was charged with grand theft of motor vehicle parts and trespassing on an unoccupied structure.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a trooper was driving on Northwest 27th Avenue when they needed a white Chevrolet SUV that had a license plate that matched a reported stolen vehicle.
An arrest report said the trooper confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen by Hialeah Police, and they continued to follow the SUV until another trooper arrived in the area…
