No Injuries Reported in Highway Shooting Incident on I-95 in Miami

Yesterday’s commute took a dangerous turn when an individual in a silver Mercedes SUV opened fire on Interstate 95, targeting a gray BMW and a white Dodge Ram, authorities confirmed. The incident, which took place around 12:45 p.m. near Northwest 103rd Street, fortunately resulted in no injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) was quickly on the scene to investigate the shooting, and traffic was momentarily disrupted as southbound lanes were cordoned off. As CBS News Miami reports, the BMW and the pickup truck were later found stationary along the highway, with law enforcement seen conversing with the BMW’s driver. A conspicuous bullet hole was visible on the driver’s side door of the BMW, however, the driver offered no comment on the situation.

Further details indicate that the assailant’s vehicle was fitted with a temporary tag. The Mercedes exit the highway at Northwest 95th Street, after which it apparently evaded immediate capture.
