Key Biscayne Council amends stormwater fee rate, plans youth engagement event

Key Biscayne’s Village Council tackled a packed agenda last week.

Despite extensive discussions on major topics, including the e-bike ban and stormwater-related work orders, the Council still managed to address a few other issues. Among them:

• A resolution to amend the maximum rate for the area’s Stormwater Utility Fee passed 6-1. Chief Financial Officer Benjamin Nussbaum said this motion does not raise the rates, only the capacity to increase the rates should $20 million loans be taken out by the Village each of the next three years…
