Miami Man Charged with Aggravated Battery After Alleged Dispute with Foot Model

A Miami man has been accused of aggravated battery after an incident involving a foot model, whom he allegedly ran over with his car. NBC Miami reports that the man, identified as Elmoncy Sercle, age 28, and the unnamed victim had connected through a dating app and decided to meet. After the victim refused his request to smell her feet and a disagreement over the sale of her used sneakers for $1,000, Sercle reportedly ran out of the hotel room, sparking a pursuit by the victim into the parking garage.

According to the victim’s account provided to authorities, while thinking he might have stolen from her, she was then struck by Sercle’s car—a Mercedes SUV. She suffered road rash and bruising, leading to an immediate need for medical attention. The encounter occurred after the pair had met in person at Sercle’s hotel room at the Serena Hotel in Aventura. The New York Post details how the model, requesting anonymity, said, “When I got there, he just wanted to sniff my feet, and I didn’t feel comfortable with that.” She also expressed her shock, “I’ve never experienced anything like this before.”

A bond court hearing has subsequently found probable cause for the charges against Sercle and issued a $3,000 bond along with an order mandating that Sercle must stay away from the victim. In an attempt to book another room at the same hotel, Sercle was ultimately apprehended and has since been charged with aggravated battery.
