North Miami Beach police officers shot and wounded a man who confronted them with a knife Saturday morning after a “bogus” 911 call, authorities say.
Around 9:40 a.m., officers rushed to the 1600 block of Northeast 164th Street after a 911 caller reported a person was stabbed by a man, North Miami Beach Police Chief Juan Pinillos said at a news conference. Officers didn’t find an injured person, but noticed a man with a knife approaching them.
