Sticky situation? Trio arrested after $1,200 gum theft in Kendall, cops say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Three men could find themselves chewed up and spit out by the law after Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies said they were involved in a four-figure gum heist at a drug store in the Kendall area on Thursday.

Karel Desten Montes de Oca, 40, Adan Mesa Cepero, 58, and Yerandy Ramirez Ramos, 27, are all facing charges.

Authorities said Ramirez walked into the Walgreens at 11690 SW 72nd St. at around 2:30 p.m., grabbed a shopping basket, took “various packages of gum” worth $1,260.68, then walked out…
