Southwest Miami-Dade Home Raided by FBI Amid Allegations of Ecuadorian Businessman’s Role in Assassination Plot

FBI agents conducted a raid on a lavish Southwest Miami-Dade residence, targeting Xavier Jordan, an Ecuadorian businessman accused of involvement in the assassination of Ecuadorian presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio in 2023. According to sources, the federal agents knocked down the front gate of the multimillion-dollar home and were seen removing boxes and taking extensive notes during the operation, reported WSVN.

Notwithstanding the early morning disruption described as “crazy” by neighbors, Jordan maintains his innocence, stating “I wasn’t arrested. It’s an investigation that they are doing lawfully. I’ve been cooperating,” and emphasizing that the boxes taken by officials contained only documents; his comments were captured during a talk with 7News on his front porch, he told WSVN. Jordan, who has been implicated in drug trafficking in his home country, maintained to reporters that the U.S. judicial process would bring out the truth and those truly culpable would face justice.

Simultaneously, in an NBC Miami article, Jordan articulated his willingness to cooperate with the investigation, stating, “All of this was explained. I’m known in my country for being someone who speaks with proof, and all of this is substantiated. I am willing to collaborate as long as the FBI calls me,” and he expects to communicate with the FBI again in the week following the raid. Jordan’s legal team has remarked that the search came on the heels of a diplomatic request from Ecuador alongside a court-authorized search warrant, “Unsurprisingly, nothing of evidentiary value was seized. If an extradition request for Mr. Jordan arises, he will have a mini trial in Miami before a truly neutral and detached federal judge and prosecutor, where we look forward to challenging whatever ‘evidence’ Ecuador presents at that time.”…
