Convicted Killer Mistakenly Released in Florida, Found at Georgia City Council Member’s Home

TAYLOR COUNTY, Ga. — A convicted murderer who was accidentally released from a Miami jail has been taken back into custody after being located in Georgia.

James Daniels, convicted of kidnapping, torturing, and killing two men five years ago, was mistakenly released from Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami last week.

U.S. Marshals tracked Daniels to Reynolds, Georgia, where he was found at the home of Timishea Price, a Reynolds city council member. Price was arrested on charges of felony hindering the apprehension of a criminal and later released on a $5,000 bond. Her involvement remains under investigation…
