‘It was crazy’: Loved one shares how birthday in Little Havana turned into a shooting

What began as a joyful birthday celebration in Little Havana ended in chaos Friday morning when a neighbor allegedly opened fire, injuring three people, including a 75-year-old woman and her 53-year-old son.

Miami Police said the shooter, identified as Angelo Garcia, approached the gathering shortly after 1 a.m. at 900 Southwest 12th Avenue, asking to speak with someone. When he couldn’t find that person, investigators said Garcia began throwing rocks at the group before pulling out a gun and shooting multiple times.
