MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) — A Miami Beach Police motorman died Tuesday following a crash along the northbound lanes of Interstate 75, officials said.
The crash happened Tuesday morning near Northwest 138 Street, and left Officer David Cajuso in critical condition. He was airlifted to a nearby trauma center where he later succumbed to his injuries, Miami Beach police said.

“Officer Cajuso faithfully served our Miami Beach community for ten years with courage and an unwavering commitment to public service,” the agency wrote in a social media post sharing news of his death.
