Three teens charged after armed carjacking ends with deputy shooting, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office says

Three teens have been charged in connection with an armed carjacking that led to one of the trio, who was brandishing a rifle, being shot by a deputy, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect who was shot has been identified by authorities as 18-year-old Stephan Jones. He faces charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, improper exhibition of a firearm, and resisting an officer without violence.

The other suspects have been named as 18-year-old Tyquawn Davis, who has been charged with armed carjacking and resisting without violence, and a 16-year-old male, who is charged with resisting without violence.
