Miami man burglarized high school friend’s home, claimed he was officer: Police

A Miami man was arrested after he allegedly burglarized a high school friend’s home while she was sleeping and claimed he was a police officer during an attempted kidnapping, authorities said.

Carlos Adrian Soza, 19, was arrested Tuesday on charges of burglary with assault or battery, attempted kidnapping, and falsely impersonating an officer, an arrest report said.

The alleged incident happened around 6:45 a.m. Sunday at a home on Southwest 37th Avenue when the two sleeping victims were woken up by a voice, the report said.
