A family dispute in Miami-Dade ended with one brother’s arrest after he allegedly attacked his sibling with a machete. Jerome Joseph Lissade, 30, was taken into custody on Wednesday, over a year after the incident at a home in Biscayne Gardens.
On May 12, 2024, the victim received a text from Lissade asking him to collect his belongings from a house they had previously shared. According to Local 10, when he arrived, Lissade allegedly confronted him with a machete. An argument followed, during which Lissade reportedly pushed his brother and pressed the weapon against his face and neck while demanding the return of his keys.
As the victim went outside to his car to retrieve a flower vase, Lissade followed. As per NBC Miami, when the victim tried to intervene, Lissade allegedly raised the machete, leading to a struggle.
