A house fire in southwest Miami-Dade resulted in at least one adult being hospitalized after emergency responders were called to a residence near Southwest 288th Street and Southwest 145th Avenue. Local 10 reported that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the site this morning to tackle the blaze, which had smoke billowing from the attic of a single-family home.
Officials stated that firefighters acted quickly, managing the fire as a first alarm before it was brought under control. Despite their efforts, an adult had to be transported by air rescue to a nearby trauma center. The victim’s age, identity, gender, and condition are yet to be released. The response included not just fire rescue crews but also Miami-Dade police deputies, who were observed at the scene as crews continued dousing remaining hot spots.
