Most artists would be upset over the sight of people walking all over their work.
But Cornelius Tulloch isn’t most artists.
Visitors are walking all over Tulloch’s 2024 “Porch Passages Liberty,” an ironwork sculpture installed in the parking lot of the Marshall L. Davis Senior African Heritage Cultural Arts Center (MDAHCAC).
“It was great to see people physically engaged with it,” Tulloch said. “People were sending me photos (of them) sitting on it, dancing on it, engaging. And that’s exactly what I wanted, to put an object in a public space and then see how I’m able to allow people to inhabit it.”…
