Inside the Mana Wynwood Convention Center, more than 5,000 toys filled the floor as the Little Lighthouse Foundation hosted its annual holiday toy distribution for underserved children.
Now in its 16th year, the event has grown significantly, serving more than 2,500 children bused in from over 120 shelters and after-school programs.
“It’s huge,” said Nicole Tate, the foundation’s program director. “I don’t think people realize how expensive not only toys are but everything that happens during the holidays.”…
