MIAMI — About 20 people, including some indicted in a murder-for-hire plot, were arrested early Tuesday morning as part of a coordinated operation between the Miami Police Department and the FBI, authorities announced.
According to Miami police, beginning at about 5 a.m., the MPD and FBI began making arrests across the city and county.
This was the second wave of Operation EL PRIMO, “a long-term joint investigation that dismantled a sophisticated cocaine trafficking organization operating primarily in the Flagami neighborhood, as well as the Little Havana and Coral Way areas,” Miami police said.
According to police, about 20 people who have been named in recent federal indictments were taken into custody, some of whom are said to be connected to a murder-for-hire plot that was disrupted before it could be carried out…
