Miami-Dade Man Accused of Dousing Neighbors with Gasoline on Christmas Day, Faces Aggravated Assault Charges

A Miami-Dade man, Ivan Cumba, has been accused of a chilling act of violence on Christmas day after threatening to set his neighbors’ house ablaze days earlier. According to an arrest report cited by Local10, the 52-year-old was said to have poured gasoline on the neighboring partygoers in their backyard around 10:05 p.m.

Cumba reportedly told his neighbors he wanted them to “burn” after they confronted him. A witness recorded the incident, and he was arrested that night. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies lodged multiple charges against Cumba. He faces six counts of aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, six counts of battery, and a single count of resisting arrest without violence.
