(NewsNation) — Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner says he appreciates the initial contrite response from owners of a local nightclub after the venue played a pro-Hitler song during a visit from controversial social media influencers.
“It’s a start. Certainly, it’s good to have that they’re recognizing there’s an issue here,” Meiner told “Jesse Weber Live” on Friday. “But I think that further investigation is warranted.”
Operators of Vendôme say three employees were fired after the Kanye West song “Heil Hitler” was played last weekend as the club gave VIP treatment to white supremacist Nick Fuentes, accused human traffickers Andrew and Tristan Tate and podcaster Myron Gaines, among other members of the “manosphere.”
