Police officers arrest New Yorker 45 days after armed robbery in South Beach

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — After using license plate readers and surveillance video, Miami Beach police officers arrested a 38-year-old felon who was born in New York on Wednesday, 45 days after an armed robbery in South Beach, records show.

Miami Beach police officers found William Johnson, a suspect in a Dec. 14 armed robbery at a public parking lot, living in Miami-Dade County’s Fontainebleau neighborhood, records show.

According to a police report, on Dec. 14, the victim told Miami Beach police officers that at about 1:25 a.m., a gunman “pushed” him, he fell, and as he stood back up, the gunman pulled back the slide of the firearm, and shouted, “Give me everything!”…
