Shoplifting suspects from Miami flee local Walgreens with $1,603 in cosmetics

A pair of Miami women were arrested after allegedly stealing $1,603 worth of cosmetics from Walgreens.

An employee of Walgreens, located at 2950 State Road 50, saw 23-year-old Nayeli Corrales and 49-year-old Vanessa Estela Equsquiza walk into the store toward the cosmetics aisle around 3:40 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Clermont Police Department.

She was later flagged down by a co-worker due to the two women stuffing things into their bag. The employee confronted them, but they acted like they did not understand her. The pair proceeded to leave the store, get into a black BMW and drive westbound on State Road 50, the report said.

The co-worker later told law enforcement that he saw Equsquiza shoving items into her large purse. He immediately notified the other employee as he continued watching them throw things into the purse. The employee told them that they were on camera, and they left with the merchandise still in their bag, the report said…
