Hialeah, Florida – A large-scale law enforcement operation at a Hialeah bar ended with 14 arrests, the seizure of gaming machines, and the shutdown of the business following what officials described as multiple violations uncovered during the raid.
Authorities confirmed that the Hialeah Police Department, working alongside the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, Homeland Security, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), carried out “Operation Luna Caída” at La Lunita Cafetería, located in the 200 block of West 8th Court.
Unlicensed Alcohol Sales and Illegal Gaming Activity
Investigators said they discovered that alcohol was allegedly being sold without a proper license. During the search of the business, officials also located ledgers documenting gaming machine payouts and unlawful alcohol transactions.
