Former Miami QB1 Describes The Darian Mensah Strength Mario Cristobal Might Be Counting On

With Mensah leading the way, Miami fans are hoping for another high-powered year for the Hurricanes. While his athleticism jumps off the page, former Miami starting quarterback Malik Rosier shared one quality that truly separates him.

“I am very excited to see what this guy can do,” Rosier said of Mensah. “I tell a lot of my quarterbacks, I don’t need you to be crazy athletic or like outrunning guys. But if you’re moving left, moving right, you’re moving off the platform. Can you control your body and still throw an accurate pass? I think that’s the one thing that he does really well. Sometimes I’m not a big fan of it.

“He’s just literally on his left foot. He’s left foot throwing bodies in the air, and he’s making accurate passes like most guys can’t do that… I think he does that very well. When you have a guy that’s a little more fluid outside the pocket, it just makes the offense a little more explosive and harder to stop.”…
