Hialeah Mayor Bryan Calvo on Wednesday discussed an approved ordinance by the city council that aims to return cash to homeowners aged 65 and older through a property tax refund program.
During the new conference, Calvo said Hialeah became the first city in Florida to enact this type of program.
“Mission accomplished,” Calva said. “They said it couldn’t be done, and we did it in less than 45 days in this new administration.”…
