Police: Woman faces felony charges after violent Miami Gardens burglary of mother’s friend

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — A woman who was bleeding told Miami Gardens police officers that burglars rushed into her home, and one hit her in the head with a ceramic sculpture of an angel.

Detectives identified one of the three burglars as Tamiya Le’Shwna Parker, whose mother was the victim’s friend, according to an arrest warrant in the case.

The victim suffered “large hematomas on her forehead, and both eyes were beginning to swell shut, consistent with blunt-force trauma,” a police officer wrote, according to a Feb. 23 warrant…
