2 men displaced after apartment fire in Miami

MIAMI — Two men were displaced after a fire erupted inside of an apartment unit in Miami, firefighters confirmed.

According to Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Pete Sanchez, the fire was reported at about 9:50 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Northwest 29th Street.

“Upon arrival, crews encountered a two-story wood-frame residential apartment building with heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof,” Sanchez said in an email to Local 10 News. “The incident was immediately upgraded to a Code 1 working fire, prompting the dispatch of additional units to the scene.”
