Motorcyclist killed in crash that shut down Florida’s Turnpike in Cutler Bay

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that shut down Florida’s Turnpike in Cutler Bay early Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 4:25 a.m. in the northbound lanes near mile marker 12 for Caribbean Boulevard (U.S. 1)/Government Center. All lanes were closed, FHP said.

Authorities said a Suzuki motorcycle collided into a red Nissan sedan. The man on the motorcycle was “ejected and fell onto the roadway, where he died from his injuries.”…
