Miami-Dade man is groped at bus stop and stabbed in back by assaulter: deputies

A Miami-Dade man waiting for a bus was groped and then shortly after stabbed several times Thursday afternoon after confronting his assaulter, deputies say.

Xavier Lavonne Johnson, 39, is facing charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and resisting an officer without violence. As of Friday, he was in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Around 12:40 p.m., Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies were flagged down by the unidentified man, who had stab wounds in his back after a 911 call came in about the attack in the area of Northwest 79th Street and 12th Avenue, deputies said…
