Class of 2027 edge rusher Jayvon Dawson committed to Miami on Sunday, offering the Hurricanes another front-seven piece. Dawson chose Miami over Georgia and North Carolina, adding to a day that already included the Hurricanes flipping elite cornerback Ai’King Hall from Oregon.

Miami lands 2027 edge Jayvon Dawson over Georgia and North Carolina

Dawson is a 215-pound edge defender from Santaluces Community High in Lake Worth, Florida.

The 247Sports Composite ranks Dawson as a three-star prospect, the No. 505 overall player, No. 43 edge rusher and No. 44 player in Florida in the 2027 cycle. The Rivals Industry Ranking has him No. 722 nationally, No. 64 at the LB position and No. 80 in Florida…
