MILWAUKEE A Milwaukee County judge sentenced Dominec Gaines Jr. on Tuesday, June 2, to seven years probation in connection with a downtown shooting that left one dead and a second person wounded. The judge originally sentenced Gaines to ten years in prison plus an additional eight years of extended supervision, but then stayed that sentence and opted for probation.

Gaines was originally charged with felony murder in this case. He was found guilty in March on an amended criminal charge of attempted armed robbery as a party to a crime.
