WisDOT exploring safety changes to I-43 at National Avenue Interchange

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) held a public meeting on Wednesday night, June 3, to hear feedback on potential changes to the I-43 at National Avenue Interchange.

“I think it’s a very important interchange, very important for the community, it’s a very busy interchange and it gets used by a lot of people,” WisDOT Project Manager Jason Dahlgren said.

The interchange is a center piece in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood, where Cristina Gonzalez lives.

“There’s more bikes,” Gonzalez said. “There’s more pedestrians walking.”…
