BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) — Friend and family members of both 41-year-old Akintunde Bowden and 28-year-old Keionna McGowan filled the courtroom, with both sides giving impact statements.
For the first time, McGowan’s mother addressed the court as her daughter was sentenced in the shooting death.
“She protected herself. In her house. In her house. She didn’t know him,” said Bridgete Killibrew, McGowan’s mom.
