71-year-old Milwaukee woman undergoes surgery after hit-and-run involving Lime scooter rider

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A Milwaukee woman is recovering from serious injuries after friends say she was hit by someone riding a Lime scooter on the sidewalk. Now, city officials and Milwaukee residents are once again raising questions about the future of Lime scooters in the city.

One reckless decision can change everything.

On Tuesday morning, a 71-year-old woman, who does not want to be identified, was hit by a person riding a Lime scooter on Brady Street. The rider then fled the scene.

“I see it a lot over here because I see people who are cruising. I see it on the Oak Leaf Trail,” said Olivia Cranston, who works near where the crash happened. “They’re going incredibly fast.”…
