Milwaukee man sentenced to 12 years for shootout that killed 19-year-old nursing student

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A year after a deadly shootout took the life of 19-year-old Milwaukee nursing student Bre’nee Veasley, one of the teens responsible has now learned his fate.

Eighteen-year-old Earl Williams was sentenced to 12 years in prison Thursday, July 23, followed by eight years of extended supervision.

The victim’s family was emotional in court, saying no sentence will be enough.
