{p dir=”ltr”}JANESVILLE — The Janesville Community Development Authority has given the green light to $299,000 in HOME Investment Partnership funds for a Milwaukee-based nonprofit to create a ‘revolving fund’ to purchase, rehabilitate and resell affordable single-family homes.
{p dir=”ltr”}Housing Services Director Kelly Bedessem said the funds will support individual affordable housing projects and grow generational wealth, but pointed out that they’ll do little to address the entire scope of Janesville’s affordable housing needs.
{p dir=”ltr”}Acts Housing was founded in Milwaukee in 1995, and opened a Rock County office in 2019. The organization has since offered homebuyer and financial counseling, real estate, lending and home rehab coaching services to Beloit residents.
