MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The Bridge Project announced on Tuesday, Sept. 15 that it is launching its second Milwaukee initiative, partnering with the Zilber Family Foundation on a national direct cash program supporting low-income, expecting mothers.
In its first Milwaukee project, the program provided cash stipends to 122 mothers, resulting in a 67% decrease in housing insecurity and a 33% decrease in food insecurity, according to the Bridge Project.
The expansion will support at least 180 more mothers this year, with plans to grow further in coming years…
